Short Description

A community based employment agency which provides assistance for people with a mental illness to obtain and maintain employment. The service is for people living in western Sydney and the Blue Mountains with offices in Parramatta, Penrith, Liverpool and Mt Druitt.

The service receives funding from the Commonwealth Dept of Family and Community Services.
All services are provided free of charge.

WHAT IS INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT?
. In conjunction with a support worker from Wise Employment the client develops an individual employment plan.
. This would describe how, where and when the support to obtain and maintain employment will be provided.

WHAT SERVICES ARE INCLUDED?
Employment assistance covers such aspects as:-
. Resume preparation
. Job seeking
. Career advice
. Job development
. Employment support in or out of the workplace
. Negotiation with employer

TO QUALIFY FOR SUPPORT, CLIENTS MUST :-
. be ready, capable and motivated to work
. be registered with Centrelink
