Short Description

Home nursing services are located within Northern Sydney Area Health divisions. They provide the service of a Registered Nurse to assess and administer nursing care in the client's own home. Referrals may be from doctor, hospital or community health service but contact is always maintained with client's local doctor.

. Administering injections and maintaining medication
. Changing dressings
. Providing information and support to clients and families in areas such as feeding, dressing, continence, and where to obtain community services.
. Within Northern Sydney Area Health service there are several branches administered from one central location.
. In other locations, contact the local community care centre for the closest service.
