Short Description
Pet Therapy Dogs are trained to be lovable companions and practical
helpers. Each dog receives 8-12 weeks of intensive training, and is
assessed and trained specifically for a particular placement, whether it be with an individual or for an institution (e.g. nursing homes). Follow up training and supervision is carried out, to make sure the dog is performing the tasks it is trained for and to ensure it is being treated well.
