Additional Info

More Details

Mattress
. Made of resilient foam with a contoured surface.
. The mattress has alternating 'support' and 'reduction' zones. Five zones reduce interface pressure. Two zones provide essential support.
. Increased support is provided around the mattress edge.
. Filtered Air Flow. Air flow in and out of the mattress is protected by filters - eliminating 99.5% of airborne bacteria. An impermeable shield guards the filter against moisture.

Cover
. The cover has two way stretch, is water resistant, is breathable (vapour permeable), antibacterial and anti static. Has sealed seams on 9000, 6000, 5000 models.

Factors To Consider

. A foam mattress may not be suitable for use with an electric blanket. Check with supplier before purchasing.
. All pressure reduction products must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion or mattress. Where bottoming
out occurs even with correct use (e.g. correct inflation levels), a different product may need to be considered.
. Ensure that the item is not accidentally placed upside down or back to front.

Setup And Maintenance

Maintenance

Dispose of foam products if they are wet, contaminated or become deformed or misshapen.
