A range of wall mounted grab rails designed to be used within a shower recess. Constructed from 32mm stainless steel with a range of finishes. The rails are available in a range of configurations and dimensions to suit a variety of applications. Two models available, including a model with hygienic seal end covers.
STANDARD 32mm CONCEALED "CLAM" FLANGE TOILET ASSIST GRAB RAILS
Available in a range of configurations. Central fixings (where used) utilise an underslung bracket. The rails have three fixing holes on circular flanges. The flanges are concealed. Screws are purchased separately, according to the wall into which they are being fixed.
Available in satin stainless steel (SS), polished stainless steel (PS), knurled grip (KG) [a machined, textured surface which is slip resistant] and a range of powder coated colours (AC) [white, ivory, black, burgundy, and hawthorn green].
Note: Model numbers indicate the rail finish (e.g. SS) followed by the model number (e.g. 048). The first model therefore listed below is SS 048, as it is a satin stainless steel, L shaped shower recess grab rail. All of these rails are available in left or right hand versions, which need to be specified at the time of ordering.
L Shaped shower recess grab rails
041 - 400mm x 1100mm L shaped shower recess grab rails: 400mm horizontal with 1100mm vertical (90 degree) rail. An underslung bracket is positioned 100mm up from the angled point along the vertical component.
Inverted T shaped shower recess grab rails
061 - 600mm x 1100mm inverted T shaped shower recess grab rails: 600mm horizontal with 1100mm vertical (90 degree) rail. The vertical component is positioned either 200mm from the end of the horizontal or centrally. Specify left or right hand or centre fix.
Corner shower recess grab rails
661 - 600mm x 600mm corner shower recess grab rails: Two 600mm horizontal grab rails (into the recess corner) with 1100mm vertical (90 degree) rail. The vertical component is positioned 150mm from the end of the horizontal arm.
711 - 760mm x 1000mm x 1100mm corner shower recess grab rails: A 760mm x 1000mm horizontal grab rail (into the recess corner) with 1100mm vertical (90 degree) rail. The vertical component is positioned 180mm from the end of the 760mm horizontal arm.
PREMIUM 32MM HEALTHCARE TOILET ASSIST GRAB RAILS with hygienic seal end covers
Rails with a stylised 50mm solid brass screw on hygienic seal, which gives extra protection against the formation of bacteria under the point of rail fixing to the wall. This comprises an O ring which sits behind the flange, preventing water entering behind the flange. The hygienic seal end covers comprise the following - a solid brass dual fixing wall mount plate, threaded lock nut and 50mm screw on hygienic seal end cover. Two wall fixing points per seal.
Available in satin stainless steel (SS), polished stainless steel (PS), knurled grip (KG) [a machined, textured surface which is slip resistant] a range of powder coated colours (FC) [white, ivory, black, burgundy, and hawthorn green], colour with a gold dress ring (AG), satin pearl (SC) and chrome with a gold dress ring (CG).
All the above rails are available in the Premium version. The code HS is listed at the end of the model number to indicate it has a hygienic seal.
The rails are available in a variety of configurations, all featuring a horizontal and vertical (90 degree angled) arm. Installed on a single wall or into the corner. Available in a range of finishes, suiting wet and dry applications. Marine grade 316 stainless steel is available for weather exposed / coastal areas. Standard product is grade 304 stainless steel.
It is important to ensure that fixed rails are selected to suit the type of wall. There may be specific differences between rails intended for installation on masonry walls and those intended for installation on wooden stud walls.
Manufacturer recommends the grab rails should be installed by a qualified tradesperson
Method of Attachment
Using fixing screws, attach flanges to studs, masonry walls or timber
members.
* When installing rails, it is important to ensure that the fixtures are designed to withstand the forces applied to them, and that the screws or bolts used will not rust or otherwise deteriorate.
* Rail installation in public buildings must comply with the relevant Australian Standards and Building Code of Australia.
