ECIA Aims
In relation to children with disabilities and/or developmental delays and their families, the organisation aims to:

* Encourage widespread understanding of their particular needs and rights.
* Provide information and support for people working in the field.
* Foster the professional development of members.
* Develop guidelines for the establishment and implementation of recommended practice in early childhood intervention.
* Provide a united voice in lobbying for policies on and funding for early childhood intervention programmes.

ECIA is funded through:
* Membership Fees
* Income from conferences and seminars
* Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care
