Red Cross Society, The

The Red Cross has several volunteer programs that provide services to people who are disabled, elderly or in need of special services.

Telecross is a free telephone checking service. Every morning between 8:00 am and 9:00 am, a Telecross volunteer phones the person living alone to ensure their well being. If the call is unanswered twice, the volunteer refers it onto an authorized person who visits the home.
