Short Description
A rigid, aluminium, wheelchair frame with tilt in space function. It can be used with a range of seating systems suitable for a child, teenager or adult. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use, and is available in four sizes and three colours. It is available in both self propelled and attendant propelled models. A range of options and accessories are available.

Frame
* The wheelchair frame is rigid, and made from powder coated aluminium
* It has anti-tip wheels, which must be activated when the frame is tilted
* The centre of gravity can be changed by repositioning the rear wheels
Mechanism
* The tilt in space and recline functions are operated by an attendant by squeezing the left and right levers respectively on the push handles
Seat
* The Combi Frame is compatible with a variety of seating systems. R82 XPanda and Panda Futura seating systems are recommended, but other manufacturers' seating systems can also be directly mounted onto the interface on the base plate
* The seat angle and height are adjustable
* It is available in four seat widths and depths
Backrest
* The Combi Frame is available with a gas spring or a fixed bar for reclining the backrest
* The angle of the gas spring backrest is adjusted by squeezing the right lever on the push handle
* The fixed bar backrest can be adjusted by adjusting the height of the cross bar with an Allen key
* The backrest can be adjusted independently from the seat and can be moved up to100mm backwards
* Backrests from other manufacturers can also be mounted onto the frame
* The angle of the push handle is adjustable
* The push handle and seating system can be removed for transport
Headrest
* A headrest is optional. A range of headrests can be fitted
Legrest
* Legrests are not available for Size 1 frames
* The legrests are removable, swing away and angle adjustable
Options:
* Parted leg rest with gas strut - with or without calf pads
* Parted leg rest with foot box - with or without calf pads
Footplates
* The glass fibre, strengthened nylon footplates are mounted off a central bar
* They are height and angle adjustable
Options:
* Footplates - joined in centre
* Parted footplates with gas spring are swing away (not available for Size 1 frames)
* Footboard (Wombat model)
* Foot box
* Ankle straps
* Other footrests can also be mounted onto the Combi Frame
Rear Wheels
* The rear wheels are either solid or pneumatic and come in a range of sizes: I2.5" (308mm), 20" (508mm), 22" (560mm) or 24" (610mm)
* Quick release wheels are standard
* The 508mm (20") rear wheels can only be used with 6" castors
* The wheel placement can be changed, but this is a multi-step process
* Changing the size of the wheels changes the seat height and the angle of the front forks. It is important to adjust the angle of the front forks if the wheel size is changed
Castors
* The front castors can be either solid or pneumatic and 150mm or 200mm
* The front forks can be angled to accommodate different wheel sizes
Colours
* The frame comes in silver, blue or red
Brakes
* The standard brakes are push on, lever style that can be moved forward or back depending on wheel size and brake efficiency required
* Fix locks can be fitted to the wheel drum and are operated by the attendant squeezing a lever on the push handle

Maintenance
* All wheelchair frames require regular maintenance. Refer to the User Manual or supplier for specific details
* The Combi Frame should be serviced every six months by a qualified R82 technician
