* People looking for carers pay a one off fee to search for carers, post a job and contact carers.
* The carers all have detailed profiles and are rated and reviewed by other people who have used their services.
* Care can be provided in a person's home, aged care facilities, respite centres and group homes.
* Carers will state on their profile the hours and days they are willing to work e.g. full-time, part-time, casual. They will also state the tasks they are willing and able to perform. This may include domestic duties such as cleaning, cooking, home help; personal duties e.g. showering; running errands, assisting with travel to doctors.
* Only carers with police checks are allowed on Careseekers. Police checks must have been obtained in the last three years.
