FRANS is a community service for children and adults with a disability who live in the Inner West municipalities of Sydney. It provides respite, recreation and community access through a range of services.
All FRAN's services are aimed to give the parent / primary caregiver a break from the care of the person with a disability while offering the person with a disability the opportunity to access the community and enjoy a quality recreational experience.
FRAN's services are coordinated by three teams:
- Community Access
- Inclusion
- Individual Respite
Within these three teams FRANS offers a range of services which include:
. In home respite
. Individual respite support in the community
. Small group recreational out9ngs
. Access to community child care, such as Family Day Care and Out of School Hours Care
. Adult social club
. Independent living skills for school leavers
FRANS relies on government funding and public donations to operate its services.
