A registered charity, administered by volunteers which is supported by
funding from the NSW Department of Health. The society acts as a
support group for people with ME/CFS and those people associated with them.

Functions of the society include:
* Making available a wide range of information on ME/CFS, chronic illness and it's treatment.
* Publishing a regular newsletter.
* Holding meetings with guest speakers.
* Giving support, help and information to members.
* Supplying information to the medical profession.
* Raising funds for research.
* Telephone counselling service
* Branches and other ME/CFS Groups exist in Victoria, South Australia, Qld, ACT and West Australia.
