ARAFMI NSW (Inc) provides support and advocacy for families and friends with mental illness or disorder. Their Information line provides information, support and referral to families and friends of people with mental illness. This includes people in crisis situations.

. The Information Line is staffed by carers with personal experience in the field of mental illness.
. Information, Support and Referral Line volunteers can direct callers to local Community Health Centres and other non - government agencies that have services for the families of people with a mental illness.
. Referral sources also include self help groups, carers' groups, government agencies. They include group and services that specialize in particular mental illnesses eg. Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Depression and can provide information about accommodation and rehabilitation services.
. Funded by NSW Department of Health
