Short Description

Limbkids Support Association Inc is a non profit, voluntary organisation comprised of parents, professionals and interested people concerned with the care of children who have congenital or acquired limb differences.

Limbkids aims to :
* Provide understanding, support and encouragement to new parents.
* Provide opportunities to meet other families affected by similar birth defects, so that the positive aspects of coping and adjusting can be shared through meetings and newsletters.
* Liaise with medical professionals whenever possible, so that a greater mutual appreciation can be achieved.
* Provide information regarding limb deficiencies and their management through library services and guest speakers.
* Encourage and maintain a high interest in research into congenital abnormalities.

The Limbkids Support network provides various services including :
* Telephone counselling
* Hospital visits
* General meetings
* Quarterly newsletters
* Regular social outings
* Video and book library
* Modified music and instrument hire
