Everyday Scooter Commuter

Overview

Short Description

This trailer is purpose built to carry powered wheelchairs and three and four wheeled scooters. It is designed to fit large and small cars fitted with a standard tow bar. The unit is RTA inspected.

Method Of Use

The unit stands on a quick release trolley for storage. It can be wheeled from the storage area to the car. The unit is coupled to the towbar. Remove the quick release trolley wheels, plug in the indicators and lower the platform for loading.
Guide and power the scooter up the ramp which automatically levels ready for tie down. (In built extension ramps to land the scooter onto the footpath can be supplied as an optional extra)
The unit has a three point locking device. the platform can be raised to a vertical position for single space parking. The unit is locked in this position making normal driving possible.
When loaded and tied down, the unit can be towed as normal highway traffic - 100kph. Reverse parking is simplified by the inline towing system which keeps the trailer straight behind the car at all times.

PARKING

REGISTRATION
The scooter commuter is sold with blue slip for registration.

TRANSPORTING
The unit is moved on a quick release swivel wheeled trolley from garage storing to the car and coupled to the tow bar. Downward pressure with low effort is required to lower the unit from the folded position.
