FRAME
The scooter has side reflectors and a footrest protector on the front guards. It features a built in rear carry handle for use when dismantled. Front basket is included.

SEAT
The seat swivels and is height adjustable. Seat is firm, with no padding on the armrests or backrest. Armrests lift up and are height and width adjustable.

STEERING COLUMN
is not angle adjustable. Folds down for transport.

FRONT WHEELS
210mm tyres, puncture resistant (solid)

REAR WHEELS
210mm tyres, puncture resistant (solid)

BATTERY CHARGING
is achieved by connecting the separate charger to the scooter and then to a mains power point. Charging point is under a cover under the seat. 3 amp charger.

BATTERIES
2 x 21 amp/hr batteries are stored under the seat. A split battery pack with a handle on each facilitates carrying.

FOOTREST
is a flat platform between the steering column and battery cover. Features slip resistant covering.

CONTROLS
On / off key, a speed control lever for forward / reverse and and a horn. The LED meter indicates the amount of proportional charge left in the batteries.

TRANSPORTING
The scooter can be dismantled into four parts for transport - seat, battery compartment, back wheel section and chassis unit.
No disconnection of batteries is required when dismantling (that is, no wires need to be disconnected. Batteries lift out of base.)

The space allowed on public transport for carrying mobility equipment is an area of 1300mm by 800mm.

State transit will only carry scooters with an unladen weight of less than 200 kg and which can be driven onto the bus, and manoeuvred to fit wholly within the designated wheelchair space under their own power. Any such scooters carried must also comply where relevant with the rules applying to wheelchairs.

Three wheeled mobility aids of any kind are unstable in normal bus operations and will not be carried because of the safety risk.

Licence & Insurance Requirements

In NSW, motorised wheelchairs that weigh less than 110 kg and cannot travel at more than 10 km/h do not have to be registered, provided they are being used by a person with mobility problems. A person driving a motorised wheelchair under these circumstances is defined as a pedestrian under the Australian Road Rules and is permitted to travel on a footpath or nature strip adjacent to the road.

Vehicles exempt from registration are covered by the nominal defendant scheme (administered by the Motor Accidents Authority) if they are at fault in an accident in NSW on a road or road-related area and cause injury to another person. However, this cover is only valid in NSW.
