More Details

* The Air Conditioner Remote Control IR Interface unit receives a simple IR signal from the user's ECU and activates the air conditioner remote, which in turn emits its own codes to operate the air conditioner
* When the ECU user sends IR signals to the interface, the interface in turn controls the remote as if the button on the remote had been physically pressed
* The display on the air conditioner remote shows the status of the system correctly, as it is being used to control the air conditioner
* Up to four buttons on the remote can be accessed by the ECU

Typically the Air Conditioner Remote Control IR Interface can allow control of
* Power On/Off,
* Temperature Up, Temperature Down
* Fan functions.
Functions may vary depending on air conditioner remote

Factors To Consider

Infrared remote controls that are supplied with many air conditioners behave differently to television and video remotes, which can make it very awkward to train an ECU (Environment Control Unit).
Many air conditioner remotes have an LCD display that shows the current settings and they emit complicated infrared (IR) signals to ensure the status of the display and the air conditioner are synchronised. To overcome this problem Technical Solutions has created this interface product that is wired into the relevant buttons on the air conditioner remote.
