Overview

Short Description

This system allows grab rails to be secured to anywhere on a wall. No studs are needed. It can be used with a variety of wall types. A portion of the hardware is inserted through the wall. Once through the wall, the hardware spreads pressure across 90 mm behind the wall. The system consists of a mounting plate, anchor and guide sleeve. The anchors come in pairs.

More Details

* The mounting plate is made from aluminium with an EVA water resistant gasket.
* The anchor and guide sleeve are made from high density plastic
* Securemont Anchors can be used for any grab rail as long as the fixing
holes on the grab rail can fit with Securemount Anchors.

Works with the following substrates including multiple layers up to 38 mm thick
* 12 mm or 15 mm Dry Wall
* 12 mm or 15 mm Dry Wall with tile
* 12 mm or 15 mm Dry Wall with marble
* 3 mm or 6 mm Fibreglass tub surround

Setup And Maintenance

Installation

* The SecureMount hardware requires a 90 mm clear space behind the wall (no wires or plumbing)
* Mark the position for the grab rail and drill a 30 mm hole in the wall
* Insert the guide sleeve through the hole
* Insert the anchor with pull tab into the guide sleeve
* Pull tab until anchor is tight, remove tab
* Attach mounting plate to anchor
* Attach grab rail flange to mounting plate
* Snap flange cover over flange

Method of Attachment
Using fixing screws, attach flanges to studs, masonry walls or timber
members.

* When installing rails, it is important to ensure that the fixtures are designed to withstand the forces applied to them, and that the screws or bolts used will not rust or otherwise deteriorate.
* Rail installation in public buildings must comply with the relevant Australian Standards and Building Code of Australia.
