A government funded service providing a subsidised telephone based emergency call system only to eligible people in eleven Sydney local government areas. These include Willoughby, Lane Cove, Mosman, North Sydney, Ku-ring-gai, Hornsby, Ryde, Hunters Hill, Manly, Warringah and Pittwater.

* It is a 24 hour, 7 days a week personal alarm service available to community members who are elderly, frail, isolated and disabled. The service is also offered to carers
* The Tunstall Emergency Call System is used
* Once the equipment is installed in the client's home, they are required to wear a pendant day and night. In an emergency when the pendant is pressed, the client will be immediately connected to a 24 hour operator, who will summon the appropriate assistance
* Free demonstrations are provided in the client's home
* Staff phone for pendant checks and to provide reassurance after any emergency calls
* Funded by the Home & Community Care (HACC) Program sense of security in your own home
* The service is not means tested
Some assistive technology needs to meet Australian or other standards. Standards may relate to materials, manufacturing and installation.
