PECS IV+ (App)

PECS IV+ is an app for the iPad which helps transition learners who have mastered phases I through to IV of PECS to high tech AAC methods. It allows users to construct a multi picture sentence strip using sentence starters. It uses synthesised and/or digitised voice output.

* Incorporate the constant time delay for 'reading' the Sentence Strip to create opportunities for the student to speak

* It is designed for direct access using a stylus. Finger tapping, dragging and scrolling is required.

Vocabulary / Language / Pre-stored Vocabulary
* Symbol based, includes Pics for PECS images, you can also add your own from the web or from your library.
* Up to 20 digital PECS book pages, tap on the tabs to navigate through them
* Drag and drop pictures from the tabbed pages to the Sentence Strip
* Rearrange pictures on the Sentence Strip without having to delete pictures
* Track the student's usage by checking the day by day list of Sentence Strips constructed by the student or the Weekly and monthly analysis of most frequently-used picture

Medical devices that are approved for use in Australia have been entered into a national database called the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG), which is maintained by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).
