Design
*The geometrically formed foam sections on the surface create contouring to position thighs and buttocks comfortably. The raised sides and back help to contain the body, providing postural support.
*The foam contains gel to reduce shearing.
*The moulded design is also designed to cradle the body, to dissipate weight away from specific pressure points and reduce the risk of pressure sores developing.

Covers
All cushions in the Flo-tech range can be provided with wipedown or towelling covers and a sag compensator base (apart from Flo-tech Solution 510mm x 460mm and Flo-tech Contour 510mm x 460mm). With the wipedown covers, there is a choice of two way or four way stretch material.
All covers are waterproof, vapour permeable (breathable) and have a handle for carrying and a slip resistant base. The covers and the foam are impregnated with an anti bacterial agent, and are flame retardant.

Sizes
Flo-tech Lite is available in 430 x 430mm size only.
The Flo-tech Contour is available in three sizes:
430 x 430mm, 450 x 400mm, 400 x 400mm

Considerations

All cushions must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (eg correct choice and depth of foam, correct inflation level) , a different product may need to be considered.

Ensure that the item is not accidentally placed upside down or back to front

It is advisable that a health professional be consulted when considering a suitable pressure care product.

Foam must be regularly replaced as it losses its spring and becomes hard after long term use
