Short Description

The AWL-1600 Back Saver is a battery powered, rear exterior lift which stores and transports a manual wheelchair at the back of a car. The AWL-1610 Back Saver Swing-Away is suitable for vehicles with a reargate opening. It has the same features as the Back Saver but can also be swing to the side to allow access to the rear gate.

Method Of Use

. Roll the folded wheelchair onto the carrier platform and turn the key to "up" position.
. The wheelchair is automatically raised to transport height and
clamped in position.
. On the Swing-Away model, the carrier platform is rotated to the
side. The manual wheelchair may be unloaded from this position.
. An electric folded wheelchair is not suitable for the Swing-Away model.

Factors To Consider

. By law, the vehicles number plate must be clearly displayed on the rear of the vehicle. Therefore, the number plate may need to be attached to the wheelchair and illuminated if used at night. The stop light, tail light,
licence number plate holder are fitted to the rear of the vehicle.
