A simple to use talking word processor for the macintosh. Write: Outloud has an on screen selection panel which allows easy navigation of speech and file management. The speech used is Macintalk (Macintosh Robotic Synthesized Voice).

It will speak what you type, letter by letter, word by word, sentence by
sentence, or selected words and phrases only.
System requirements: System: 6.07, 6.08, or system 7.00 +.
*Memory: 2 MB RAM + 650 K RAM for Write:Outloud.
*Monitor: Colour
*Printer: Colour is preferred, (monochrome is adequate).
Features: *Font/size and colour may be altered.
*Spell checker.
*Use the ribbon to navigate, eg. click printer icon and
your work will be printed, or click on microphone icon
to speak highlighted text etc.
*May be used in conjunction with Co-Writer (a word
prediction program), KE:NX, Intellikeys.
