More Details

1. Community Transport:
Community transport services are provided to take clients to and from services, by either a community bus or a volunteer driver. They provide transport to people who have difficulty accessing regular public transport. Community transport aims to give customers an appropriate service, tailored to their needs. Community transport assists those transport-disadvantaged members of the community (with limited or no access to private transport and difficulty accessing conventional public transport) to give them the opportunity to travel to both important and non-emergency medical appointments, undertake shopping, recreation or social outings and attend other essential events. Check the following website for other community transport options: http://www.transport.nsw.gov.au/customers/community-transport

2. Modified Taxi services:
Most taxi companies have at least one taxi modified for people who use wheelchairs. Contact local taxi company for this service, preferably booking in advance. There is a direct booking line for wheelchair taxi, but preference is given to those on subsidy scheme.
