*In addition to the above features, this hoist utilises the Comfort Circle with an Arc-Rest which includes arm rests and hand grips which give the user who is weaker a feeling of greater security as it provides upper body support during the lift.
*The sling positioned around the persons lower back is adjustable to allow standing from deep chairs.
*The First-Step system allows the removal of the footplate and later, the Proactive Pad (knee pad) to allow balance, stepping and walking practice to be performed. More Details
Stand up hoists bring a seated occupant to a supported standing position.
Boom
There are two supports that extend from the central slot in the mast to support the Arc Rest at three points. The Arc Rest is a contoured arm support with hand grips for the occupant to rest the forearms and hold the hand grips.
Frame
Aluminium
Mast
The mast houses the hydraulic mechanism. It is straight at the back and the front curves forwards and downwards towards the footplate.
The adjustable knee pad attaches to the base of the mast.
An inverted U shaped push handle is located at the top of the mast.
The attachment point for the hand held control is situated on the side of the mast.
A parallel bar from the push handles to the side of the mast also provides a hanging point for the hand held control when not in use.
Knee Pad (Proactive pad)
The Proactive Pad is height adjustable knee support that allows the natural flexion of the ankle and forward movement of the lower leg during standing.
The knee pad is contoured, padded and height adjustable.
It allows for the flexion of the ankle and the forward movement of the lower leg during standing.
Footplate
The footplate extends from the base of the knee pad attachment point.
It is contoured plastic with raised lines to assist with slip resistance.
The footplate can be removed and the occupant can take steps whilst using the arm support and hand grip to stabilise themselves.
Castors
Castors on both models are dual swivel style with lockable options on rear castors.
Controls
Controls have a hand held option on an extendable cord. The directional up and down arrows activate the lift and the left and right arrows activate the base leg opening and closing. A hook on the back of the hand held unit allows it to be stored by hanging it on the cross bar of push handle.
Fixed Controls
Fixed controls are mounted near the top of the mast (back panel). This unit has directional up and down arrows and left and right arrows activate the base leg opening and closing. An in built weighing scale is included. A liquid crystal display indicates the occupants weight in kilograms.
Power Source
A battery discharge indicator constantly displays the amount of power in the battery system and indicates when the battery needs charging.
Two batteries and a charger are supplied. Approx 100 lifts from a fully charged battery.
Slings
2 types of slings are available. 4 sizes are colour coded.
1) An underarm one band sling in padded material or sheepskin. It has a trunk support band that crosses in front of the occupant and is attached by hook and loop. This is to be used when weight is taken through the lower limbs and feet are supported on the footplate.
2) A support sling with back support as well as leg extensions that fit under the legs to attach to two points located at the junction of boom and spreader bar. This sling gives extra support to the occupant.
The attachment type is the ball and cord. The cord locks into position in cleats on front of the arm supports.
Application
*May be suitable for bariatric use up to the specified load capacity
*The hoist is not suitable for users unable to take partial weight through their lower limbs and feet.
Maintenance
Please refer to supplier and manufacturers manual for maintenance and safety warnings. Particular reference to black button on side of unit which allows for emergency lowering on both models.
