Short Description
An English made transporter that transfers occupants in a semi seated position. The stainless steel frame is supported by four swivel castors. The two front castors are lockable. The two seat sections lift up to allow access to and from a chair / toilet. A footplate and a knee pad are attached to the frame. A cross bar is used by the occupant to pull themselves to rise.
Method Of Use
. This stand up lifter is designed to assist with the stand transfer of a person from a seated position to a seated position. They need to have the ability to weight bear through their legs and arms (to pull themselves up to stand).
. The hoist, with the seat sections lifted up, is positioned in front of a seated user. The user puts their feet on the platform and pulls them self to standing using the horizontal bar. The attendant lowers the seat sections so the user can then sit in a semi standing position. The user continues to hold the horizontal bar while being transported.
