This four wheeled scooter has the two front wheels positioned very close together and therefore behaves similarly to a three wheeled scooter. The scooter will likely have greater manoeuvrability but less stability.
FEATURES :
Straight handlebar with basket on tiller. Dual front wheels and self adjusting front axle for improved stability on cornering. Hazard lights.
SEAT :
Seat rotates 360 degrees and locks into position automatically at quarter turn positions using the lever under the right side of the seat. Seat slides forward / backward using a second lever
ARMRESTS :
Padded armrests lift up and are width adjustable.
CONTROLS :
Using the straight handlebar the control levers are thumb operated.
Key, battery level indicator, speed control dial and light switches are adjacent the handlebar.
To freewheel release the lever located near the battery compartment at the rear.
MOTORS : 0.5Hp electric motor.
BATTERIES : 2 X 12Amp.
CHARGER : Separate charger plugs into point at top of tiller.
BRAKES :
Electromagnetic brakes engage automatically when the user releases the speed control lever.
TRANSPORTATION :
Backrest folds against seat. Lift off seat, remove batteries and fold tiller down onto foot platform. The foot platform section can also be separated from the battery/motor compartment for lighter/smaller components if required to fit into small spaces.

State transit will only carry scooters with an unladen weight of less than 200 kg and which can be driven onto the bus, and manoeuvred to fit wholly within the designated wheelchair space under their own power. Any such scooters carried must also comply where relevant with the rules applying to wheelchairs.
Three wheeled mobility aids of any kind are unstable in normal bus operations and will not be carried because of the safety risk.
