Short Description

An electrically operated alternating pressure system consisting of a multicell mattress overlay and pump. The overlay has a water resistant nylon removable cover. Single bed size only. Load capacity is 120kg. Intended for users at moderate risk of developing pressure sores as well as assisting in the treatment of stages 1 to 2 pressure sores.

More Details

Designed for use on top of existing mattresses and can be used on both standard and profiling bed frames.
. May be suitable for bariatric use up to the specified load capacity.

STRUCTURE
. 21 individual cylindrical nylon PVC air cells (76mm high) span the full width of the overlay.
. An alternating series of air cells is used. These inflate and deflate in a ten minute cycle progressively supporting and relaxing areas of the body where pressure sores usually occur.
. The overlay has a strong nylon PVC base with integrated heavy duty zipper seals.
. Each durable nylon air cell is individually replaceable. The cells clip into place on the base.

ATTACHMENT
The overlay fastens to the bed mattress with strong elastic straps which attach under each end of the mattress in a 'T' configuration

COVER
Comes standard with a removable heavy duty PU cover with sturdy zipper seals. This cover consists of a PU surface and a latex underside. This combination provides added comfort. The cover is also waterproof, breathable and easy to clean and disinfect.

PUMP / CONTROL
. The control unit is designed to inflate the system underneath a person weighing up to 180kg. It features hanging hooks and variable pressure controls and visual alarms.
. An optional Power Down Alarm provides a visual and audible alert to any control unit power failure. This alarm is standard on the pump supplied by Mac Med Healthcare.
.The unit has low noise operation and easy press on hoses.
