Frame
This scooter has an epoxy coated, one piece steel frame, moulded plastic cowlings, rubber protection strips on the sides and bumpers on the front and rear. There is slip resistant matting on the foot platform.
Colours
Red or blue mouldings, with grey vinyl upholstery.
Seat
has two release levers. The first is located underneath the front right hand side of the seat base and allows the seat to swivel through 180 degrees, locking a 0, 45, and 90 degrees. The second, located at the right front side, allows the seat to slide forwards and backwards, The seat can also be adjusted in height, either through the seat bolt or via an optional button on the tiller. The armrests are width and height adjustable, and swing up to allow side transfers. The seat comes standard with a seatbelt.
Backrest
Option of a hi-back seat with backrest recline.
Controls
A key turns the scooter on and off. The programmable controller features a speed dial for proportional speed control, high / low speed button, horn, headlight, indicators and a battery level indicator. The tiller can be adjusted using a lever situated in front of the handlebars. As the tiller adjusts, the control panel adjusts so that it can be seen easily by the user.
Batteries
are two 12 volt deep cycle gel batteries which are housed under the seat. 50 amp or 70 amp.
Charger
Battery charging is achieved by connecting the scooter from one of two charger inlets to the battery charger, then to a mains power point. The charger points are located on the rear cowling and also just below the tiller.
Wheels
Front wheels are 300mm pneumatic tyres. Rear wheels are 300mm pneumatic tyres.
Brakes
Electromagnetic. An emergency hand brake is standard.
Dismantling
The seat and batteries can be removed for transport, but the base is a one piece frame so cannot be dismantled.

The space allowed on public transport for carrying mobility equipment is an area of 1300mm by 800mm.
State transit will only carry scooters with an unladen weight of less than 200 kg and which can be driven onto the bus, and manoeuvred to fit wholly within the designated wheelchair space under their own power. Any such scooters carried must also comply where relevant with the rules applying to wheelchairs.
Three wheeled mobility aids of any kind are unstable in normal bus operations and will not be carried because of the safety risk.
Accessible buses display a blue and white wheelchair sign on the front of the bus, and on the easy access door.
