The "Original" Safety Sided Pressuredown Mattress has all the features and benefits of the Pressuredown Mattress. This mattress can be used in place of a standard mattress and bed side rails and can significantly reduce the risk of accidentally rolling or falling from the bed.

Designed to prevent pressure, friction and shear and to achieve lower interface pressure readings. It allows the user immersion into the support surface, distributing pressure according to body heat and dynamics.

Factors To Consider

All pressure reduction products must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion or mattress. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (eg correct inflation levels), a different product may need to be considered.
