FRAME
This scooter has an epoxy coated steel frame with moulded plastic cowlings available in a blue colour only. The scooter features a removable front basket, anti-tip wheels and a front bumper bar.

SEAT
is padded and can swivel via a lever located underneath the right hand side of the seat. Features lift up and down, padded armrests which are width adjustable and removable via a screw knobs. The backrest is solid and folds down onto the seat for transportation. The seat is removable from the wheel base via lifting the lever located under the right hand side of th seat and lifting the seat up from the wheelbase.

STEERING COLUMN
can be tilt adjusted via a screw knob and is controlled via foam covered handles.

FRONT WHEELS
are solid tyres, 175mm diameter.

REAR WHEELS
are solid tyres, 190mm diameter.

BATTERY CHARGING
is achieved by connecting the off-board battery charger into the charging point located on the front of the battery pack. The charger can then be plugged into a mains power point.

BATTERIES
are two 12 amp sealed gel batteries stored in a removable box with a carry handle under the seat. The battery box is attached to the wheel base with hook and loop tape and can be removed via pulling the carry handle upwards.

FOOTREST
is a textured rubber platform between the steering column and battery cover. There is room to place feet either side of the tiller.

CONTROLS
are a key for turning the scooter on and off and a speed knob that allows speed control. Forward and reverse levers are thumb operated. A battery charge indicator and beeper horn are also located on the control panel.

BRAKES
are electromagnetic.

SAFETY FEATURES
include a reversing beeper which sounds when the scooter is being reversed.

FREE WHEELING
The scooter can be free wheeled by pulling a lever located at the rear right hand corner of the wheel base.

DISMANTLING
The scooter dismantles without tools into five parts for transport - seat, battery pack, chassis unit, rear wheel base and the basket. The tiller and wheels can be locket into position via a yellow lever located above the front wheels. This stops the tiller from moving during transportation.

Licence & Insurance Requirements

In NSW, motorised wheelchairs that weigh less than 110 kg and cannot travel at more than 10 km/h do not have to be registered, provided they are being used by a person with mobility problems. A person driving a motorised wheelchair under these circumstances is defined as a pedestrian under the Australian Road Rules and is permitted to travel on a footpath or nature strip adjacent to the road.

Vehicles exempt from registration are covered by the nominal defendant scheme (administered by the Motor Accidents Authority) if they are at fault in an accident in NSW on a road or road-related area and cause injury to another person. However, this cover is only valid in NSW.
