It has a powered down heel section for improved pressure reduction.
Each cell can be removed individually for repairs and replacement.
It is designed for users at very high risk of pressure sore development and for use up to and including grade four pressure areas.

CLEANING REQUIREMENTS

SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE

CONSIDERATIONS FOR USE
Available in a paediatric or child model able to provide pressure reduction for those of small stature and low weight. The supplier states the paediatric mattress replacement has a minimum weight requirement of 6kg while the standard Nimbus has a minimum 25kg.

Factors To Consider

All pressure reduction products must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion or mattress. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (eg correct inflation levels), a different product may need to be considered.
