. The stairlift consists of a rail which is wall mounted or mounted to the stair tread by floor mounted supports.
. The carriage climbs up and down an aluminium rail with positive rack and pinion drive and automatic brake.
. The platform lift is fully automatic, with electrically controlled platform and barrier arms. The lift folds away when not in use.
. The platform has a slip resistant surface, forward and backward rollstops that lower to form ramps, and safety barrier rails at the front and back.

CONTROLS
Carriage - Constant pressure joystick control within the carriage. Soft stop and start. Emegency alarm with battery back up.
Landing - Key switch and constant pressure buttons at landings which includes fold, unfold and directional buttons.
POWER SOURCE is via mains power. A mains power point needs to be installed near the operating area.
SAFETY FEATURES
- Over speed governor.
- Barrier arms surround the user and are locked into position prior to the platform moving
- Barrier arms and ramps can be operated manually.
- Platform stops automatically when sensitive surfaces detect obstructions.
- Safe entrance and exit with ramps that rise automatically to restrain the wheelchair when the platform is in motion. Barrier arms lower automatically when the ramps raise.
- A handrail is provided for passenger use.
- Slip resistant platform floor.
- Lift can be lowered manually if power fails.
DISMANTLING / FOLDING The platform and barrier arms fold up when not in use, either automatically or manually.
