The wheelchair has a tension adjustable reclining backrest, with removable padded and contoured backrest cushioning, adjustable and removable headrest and removable seat cushion. Suitable for the nursing home environment.
Frame
The chair has a rigid steel frame which features a push bar and adjustable seat to back angle (spanner required). Two press down, foot operated levers located between the rear wheels operate the tilt function (left lever) and braking (right lever).

Upholstery
Extra soft padding over all contact areas, high back cushion and adjustable full length lateral supports. Upholstery is high quality low maintenance easy clean vinyl.

Headrest
Removable and padded headrest.

Lumbar Support
Removable and padded.

Armrests
* Removable and height adjustable with pads that can be moved forwards and backwards and dropped to seat height for sliding transfers.
* Full length with a waterfall edge and removable padded covers.

Footrests / Legrests
* Removable, height adjustable (spanner required) and swing away
* Footplates are plastic and come with removable padded covers
* Elevating legrests and padded calf supports may be selected.

Rear Wheels
* 300mm wheel size with pneumatic tyres is standard
* 559mm is an option

Castors
* 180mm microcellular.

Brakes
*Foot activated by pushing down on the right rear lever and released by lifting the lever with the foot

Tilt
Foot activated by pushing down on the left rear lever and released by lifting the lever with the foot.

Transporting
The chair does not fold for transport but can be reduced to a more compact shape by removing the legrests and armrests, and either folding forward or reclining the backrest.
