FRAME
A rear wheel drive scooter with a moulded fibreglass body over an epoxy coated steel frame. The scooter has a front dual bulb light, side and rear reflectors and anti tip wheels. The tiller angle is adjustable and a wing mirror is standard. Coiled spring suspension front & rear.
SEAT
The seat has padded upholstery, a fold down and angle adjustable backrest and a manual locking swivel mechanism. The armrests adjust to allow for greater seat width. A sliding seat mechanism is available which allows the driver to alter seat position while seated.
TRANSPORTING
Fold down the tiller, remove the seat and batteries, pull out the connector pin from main frame and separate front section from rear section.
FREEWHEELING
Mechanism is operated by a lever situated under the rear cowling next to the wheel.
BATTERY CHARGING
Achieved by connecting the charger provided to a mains power point and plugging it into the scooter at the marked charging terminal on the tiller.
BATTERIES
Two 28Amp batteries are stored in separate fibreglass boxes under the seat, held in place with webbing straps.
FRONT AND REAR WHEELS
330mm diameter, pneumatic.
FOOTREST
Flat platform that may be limited due to the front wheel hubs. Slip resistant matting on the floor of the foot space.
SEAT
Lift up and width adjustable armrests and angle adjustable backrest. The seat swivels by lifting a lever located on the right side, under the seat. Seat height is adjustable by releasing the seat swivel lever and turning the seat to a non locked position and lifting it off.
Then removing the pin and large grip screw located in the seat post. Seat height is changed and seat replaced. A sliding seat mechanism, activated by turning a lever under the front of the seat, allows the driver to alter seat position while seated. Different seat sizes available.
CONTROLS
Finger or thumb lever operated acceleration and reverse functions, a speed control knob with fast / slow indicators, battery level warning light, horn and key operated power switch plus headlight switch. The controls are set standard for right hand use, but can be changed by the supplier for left hand use.

The space allowed on public transport for carrying mobility equipment is an area of 1300mm by 800mm.
State transit will only carry scooters with an unladen weight of less than 200 kg and which can be driven onto the bus, and manoeuvred to fit wholly within the designated wheelchair space under their own power. Any such scooters carried must also comply where relevant with the rules applying to wheelchairs.
Three wheeled mobility aids of any kind are unstable in normal bus operations and will not be carried because of the safety risk.
