FRAME
This scooter has an epoxy coated steel frame, moulded plastic red cowlings and a rubber protection strip at the front and rear of the base.
The scooter features front and rear suspension on both models, a front basket, anti tip wheels and tie down points.
SEAT
Contoured, padded with vinyl cover.
Has two release levers. The first is located underneath the front right hand side of the seat base and allows the seat to swivel through 360 degrees, locking at 0, 45, 90 and 180 degrees. The second is located underneath the front left hand side of the seat base and allows the seat to slide forwards and backwards. The seat height is fixed.
BACKREST & HEADREST
The backrest is reclining. The headrest is height adjustable.

STEERING COLUMN
Can be tilt adjusted via a lever located on the right hand side of the steering column and is controlled via foam covered handles.
FRONT WHEELS
320mm diameter, pneumatic tyres.
REAR WHEELS
320mm diameter, pneumatic tyres.
BATTERY CHARGING
Achieved by connecting the off board battery charger from the scooter via a charger inlet located on the steering column underneath the control panel to a mains power point.
BATTERIES
Two 12 volt deep cycle, 40 Amp batteries, each weighing 18kg. They are stored in separate boxes with carry straps under the seat.
FOOTREST
A flat platform between the steering column and battery cover. Features slip resistant matting on the foot platform.
CONTROLS
Feature a key for turning the scooter on and off , a proportional lever forward / reverse control which can be operated with the thumbs or fingers, a speed dial control, switches to operate indicators, headlights and hazard lights, two horn buttons and a battery level indicator.
BRAKES

FREEWHEELING
The scooter can be free wheeled by pulling upward on a lever located at the rear right hand corner of the base.
TRANSPORTING
To facilitate transportation, the backrest can be folded down onto the seat via a lever located on the right hand side of the backrest.

This item should be trialled in the users home environment to ensure maximum safety / independence. Environmental considerations include kerbs, footpaths, road / railway crossings, etc
The space allowed on public transport for carrying mobility equipment is an area of 1300mm by 800mm.
State transit will only carry scooters with an unladen weight of less than 200 kg and which can be driven onto the bus, and manoeuvred to fit wholly within the designated wheelchair space under their own power. Any such scooters carried must also comply where relevant with the rules applying to wheelchairs.
Three wheeled mobility aids of any kind are unstable in normal bus operations and will not be carried because of the safety risk.
