A mobile, battery powered hoist which may be used to lift and transfer a person to and from a bed, chair or the floor. It is made of aluminium and steel and easily folds or dismantles into two parts for transport or storage. Suitable for domestic use.

Frame
Aluminium and steel framed hoist has an angled mast, a curved boom and four point spreader bar.
Push Handle
A curved push handle is mounted at the top of the mast.
Controls
Hand held controls are attached to the base of the mast and are on an extendable cord. These operate the raising and lowering of the hoist. It also has a soft start/stop, two speed lifting and a counter for the number of lifts made.
Battery
The battery pack is attached to the mast of the hoist. It has a battery charge level indicator and both mechanical and electrical emergency lowering functions.
Base
The 'U' shaped base is adjusted in width by a foot operated lever mounted to the base.
Castors
The castors are single castors with brakes on the rear castors.
Portability
To be portable the hoist dismantles into 2 pieces, each weighing less than 10kg. To dismantle the hoist, two nuts are removed. The components are then packed into three bags: one for the battery operated hand control, the battery pack and charger, one for the boom and one for the leg piece. It can also be folded for transport and the total weight with batteries is 24kg.

It is recommended that prior to using this product, training in manual handling and the correct use of assistive devices should be undertaken.
