Short Description

A shower base with a reinforced fibreglass base sloping to the centre waste outlet. Vinyl or tiled flooring is placed on top of the base. The shower base is designed to provide level (hobless) entry to a shower without the need for major renovation of the entire bathroom. Customised sizes are available on request. It has been designed for use on a wooden floor, but can be used on a concrete base.

Components:
* Shower base made of fibreglass
* It is recommended that you also purchase a waste and grate to use with Trimseal. Trimseal is available in either centre or rear waste. Grates available are:
* 50mm leak control flange (PVC)
* 80mm round floor grate (brass)
* 80mm square floor grate (brass)
* 50mm vinyl floor grate
* Smart-tile

The supplier states that the Trimseal shower base is manufactured with natural fall as per AS 3740-2004

* Safer and easier to negotiate for those who are unsteady on their feet
* Quicker and easier to install than casting a concrete self draining floor on site

Installation

The shower base can be installed into either wooden or concrete slab floors. Floor surface must be in sound condition, level, clean, dry and dust free. Obtain a professional plumber and/or professional tradesperson to complete this job.

In public buildings, fitted baths and showers must be installed in accordance with AS1428: Part 1.

Standards

For some types of equipment, specific Australian or other Standards are applicable to the materials used in, and the manufacturing and installation of products. Compliance with relevant Standards is indicated by written certification that a product has been tested and assessed as compliant with specified Australian Standards.
