Slip Assessment Services provides wet and dry flooring testing for shopping centres, offices, insurance claims and contract cleaners. The testing is conducted on pedestrian floor surfaces in accordance with AS/NZS 4586:2004 and AS/NZS 4663:2004.
Pre installation testing is recommended. A sample of the flooring (eg a tile) is sent to the service for testing. They will visit the site to test existing flooring if costs are covered.
If the floor meets the Australian Standards for the pendulum test, the service can provide a certificate of compliance immediately after testing.
If the floor does not comply with the required standards, free advice is offered on how to rectify the issues.
The service cannot test to CSIRO compliance (ramp test).
