Short Description

A foam and alternating air mattress replacement system designed for use with people at very high risk of developing pressure areas. The user can alternate between a static foam mattress to the dynamic system by connecting the air insert under the foam creating an alternating air underlay. The standard size is single. Other sizes are available on request.

Structure
The Softform Premier Active features an alternating air insert beneath the segmented foam insert of the Softform Premier mattress

Pump/controls
* The pump will assess individual patients' weights, and adjust levels of inflation accordingly
* The air cells alternate on a ten minute cycle beneath the foam insert

Cover
* There is a two way stretch, polyurethane, fluid resistant, cover
* The base is polyurethane coated
* The seams are fully welded
* A full length flap conceals the zip
* The top cover is fully removable

Safety features
* Base is a single 'U' shape foam that is firm on the border to facilitate transfers
* No turning of mattress is required
* The system incorporates sensory software within the pump to help determine user weight and assist with pressure regulation
* The system has an alarm system which will activate in case of power failure to alert the user

Cleaning Requirements
The mattresses can be cleaned with a solution of neutral detergent and hot water or a 0.1% chloride solution, followed by a rinse of clean water and a thorough drying.
The removable covers should be laundered at 71C with a dilute detergent solution thoroughly rinsed and dried before being placed back on the mattress.
