TravelScoot Lightweight Three Wheel Scooter

A lightweight three wheel scooter designed for indoor use. It can be dismantled into four parts and stored in a carry bag. It has a right handed operation, similar to a motorbike, to propel forward but does not have reverse. The frame is made of anodised aluminium and it has solid puncture proof tyres. Two rechargeable battery options are available. One model only.

Factors To Consider

* The Travelscoot may not be suitable for a user who would require a supportive seat and back
* The TravelScoot should only be ridden on smooth, hard and even surfaces. It is not designed for off road or off-road like conditions
* The Travelscoot does not have a reverse function. It requires the user to push the scooter manually backwards, using the legs, in order to reverse
* The TravelScoot does not have electromagnetic braking and will roll if the hand brakes are not applied
* This product is not a toy and is not recommended for children under the age of 16 years
* This item should be trialled in the users home environment to ensure maximum safety / independence. Environmental considerations include kerbs, footpaths, road / railway crossings, etc

Users should take care when riding a scooter and observe the following safety guidelines
* People who intend to use these scooters must ensure they have the necessary physical and cognitive skills to operate and manoeuvre them safely
* Stay within the legal speed limit of 10km/h
* Be aware that taking medication or driving under the influence of alcohol may affect the user's judgement
* Always make sure that your are clearly visible, particularly at night or on dull days - use the lights and reflectors and install a reflective flag high enough to be seen by motorists
* Wear a bicycle helmet whenever possible
* Slow down when you are near other people, especially pedestrians and cyclists
* Avoid stopping or driving on inclines greater than your scooter is designed for
* Use footpaths if possible. If there are no footpaths, plan to user quieter roads
* Plan your trip and avoid uneven surfaces, dips and potholes
* Ensure if you are carrying parcels that the load will not over balance your scooter and the parcels do not interfere with your controls or vision.
