The FreeWheel is designed to fit on most manual, rigid frame wheelchair footrests. Footrests higher than 110mm (4.5") off the floor will require a custom freewheel frame.

Frame
The frame or fork is curved and made of aluminum.

Attachment
* A vise-like clamp allows you to attach the FreeWheel to the wheelchair footplate
* Once fitted the wheelchair user can install and remove the FreeWheel without needing to get out of the wheelchair.
* A hook or 'perch' is provided to attach the FreeWheel to the wheelchair crossbar behind the seat back when not in use.

Wheel
* The large front wheel is able to turn 360 degrees
* The front wheel can be locked so it only goes straight. By applying slight pressure, it will release, allowing you to turn in any direction.
