Materials
* A four wheeled folding rear wheel drive scooter made from scratch-resistant plastic
* The base has a non-slip footrest mat and there are non-slip footrest strips on the front wheel covers
Seat
Foldable, swivel, moulded plastic seat with lift up armrests
Batteries
* The scooter is powered by two 12V deep cycle batteries, which are located in the battery pack under the seat
* The battery pack is secured to the motor unit by hook and loop pads, and can be removed by pulling upwards and outwards on the handle
* The charging point for the off-board charger is located at the front of the battery pack
* Battery charging is achieved by connecting the scooter to the off-board charger, which connects to a mains power outlet
Steering Column
* It has a height and angle adjustable tilter
* The handles are moulded plastic
Controls
* The control display includes a battery level indicator, speed dial and push button horn
* A key is used to turn the scooter on and off
Footrest
The footrest is a flat platform between the steering column and battery cover, and there are footrest strips on the front wheel covers
Freewheeling
* The motor can be disengaged to enable the scooter to be free wheeled, by pushing a lever located at the rear right hand corner of the base
Transport
* The scooter disassembles into five parts for transport: seat, battery pack, motor unit (which includes rear wheels), chassis unit (which includes footrest platform, front wheel and steering column) and basket
Wheels
The front wheels are 175mm foam filled tyres and the rear wheels are 200mm foam filled tyres.

The brakes are electronic, regenerative and electromechanical dual braking system

The space allowed on public transport for carrying mobility equipment is an area of 1300mm by 800mm.
State transit will only carry scooters with an unladen weight of less than 200 kg and which can be driven onto the bus, and manoeuvred to fit wholly within the designated wheelchair space under their own power. Any such scooters carried must also comply where relevant with the rules applying to wheelchairs.
Three wheeled mobility aids of any kind are unstable in normal bus operations and will not be carried because of the safety risk.
Accessible buses display a blue and white wheelchair sign on the front of the bus, and on the easy access door.
