Plastic or metal bedpans are for the use of those who are unable to get out of bed to use a commode or toilet.
A small oval shaped bed pan which narrows to a rounded point at one end, and has a combined cylindrical handle and drainage outlet at the other. The pan is made from strong, moulded plastic, and has a rubber stopper covering the drainage outlet.
A low, smaller size wedge shape pan for restricted space use. Can also be used as a female urinal or paediatric pan. Supplied with a lid. Pan complies with BS2745-BS2588 for cleaning and hygiene.
A plastic fracture, slipper or wedge style bedpan designed especially for use by individuals with restricted movement. D shaped handle at rear. Not all models suitable for autoclave use. Options can include a lid. A range of standard and economy makes are available.
A stainless steel bedpan available in two sizes to suit adults or children.
Heavy duty plastic bedpan, suitable for autoclave sterilizing. Conventional shape. Colours may vary. Available from a wide variety of pharmacies and medical suppliers.
Vernacare offers a range of single use, pulp receptacles for disposing of human waste in macerators. Products include slipper bed pans, male and female urine bottles, infant chamber pot and a bedpan liner. The Vernacare 2000 Disposal Unit is a maceration unit to dispose of these products.
