Design
. The geometrically formed sections on the surface create contouring to position thighs and buttocks comfortably. The raised sides and back help to contain the body, providing postural support.
. The foam contains gel to reduce shearing.
. The moulded design is also designed to cradle the body, to dissipate weight away from specific pressure points and reduce the risk of pressure sores developing.

Polymer Sac
This contains a white thixotropic polymer paste which has a fluid consistency. When sat on, the paste displaces to conform to bony prominences, immersing the user even further into the cushion. The Polymer remains in a liquid state at all times and is unaffected by external temperatures.

Covers
All cushions in the Flo-tech range can be provided with wipedown or towelling covers. With the wipedown covers, there is a choice of two way or four way stretch material. All covers are waterproof, vapour permeable (breathable) and have a handle for carrying and a slip resistant base. The covers and the foam are impregnated with an anti bacterial agent, and are flame retardant.

Models

. There are three styles of combination foam and flo-mer cushions. They have varying size flo-mer sacs which contain a thixotropic polymer paste that is unaffected by external temperatures. The sac is held in position with Velcro and can be repositioned within the well. The sac is not able to disperse out of the well due to its depth.
. Flo-tech Plus - for high risk and evidence of existing pressure damage.
Incorporates a Flo-mer polymer sac which is situated in the centre of the cushion surface, towards the back.
. Flo-tech Solution - for very high risk and evidence of existing pressure damage.
Uses the combination of a slimmer shaped foam cushion base and a dual layer of Flo-mer protection for sores or for those with already established pressure damage. One sac covers the ischial tuberosity area, and the other sac covers the whole cushion.
