Short Description
An battery powered hoist which consists of a U-shaped mobile base, central mast, seat with swingaway arms, one of which incorporates a backrest. Push handles are fitted to the ends of the arms. A hand held remote control operates the lifting. The ALENTI model is similar but with streamlined finishes and enclosed armrest instead of safety strap, for ease of cleaning and infection control. It also has weighing scale included.

. The Elephant's Foot weighing scale can be retro-fitted to the Calypso. The scale is operated by foot and the display can be set to show either
kilograms or pounds. (The scale fits to any Arjo hoist with a pillar base
shaped like an elephant's foot.)

More Details
. Useful for transferring a person between bed, bath, wheelchair or wall
mounted toilet.
. The detachable backrest permits patient transfer from either side. The seat cushion attaches for toileting.
MATERIALS:
. Steering handles, chair frame, lift column and chassis are electrostatic epoxy coated steel.
. Seat and backrest are polypropylene.
CASTORS:
. Two 100 mm castors with brakes.

BATTERY:
. A fully enclosed 12V 6 amp/hr battery is supplied with the hoist.
. The battery has a capacity of approximately 80 full strokes with a load of 80 kgs.
. The warning lamp lights up when about 40% of the battery capacity remains.
HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT:
. The length of stroke is 600 mm.
. The operating range can be adjusted at intervals of 50 mm ie
from 0-600 mm in the lowest position to 400-1000 mm in the highest position.
