Short Description
A three wheeled battery operated mid to large size scooter with finger operated controls. The seat has a reclining backrest, a headrest, a swivel and sliding mechanism and comes with a seat belt and light package as standard. Two models with 8 km or 10 km per hour speed control are available. The lever that adjusts the tiller angle is positioned at the height of the hand grips.

Drive: rear wheel drive. Adjustable spring suspension.
Metal frame with fibreglass cowling cover. Front and rear bumper. Slip resistant matting on foot platform which is angled to allow foot space on each side of tiller on three wheeled model.
Colours: Ruby Red and Sapphire Blue
Steering Column / Tiller: Adjustable in angle by using the brake like lever located on the left hand side of the control panel. This lever allows for an infinite range of adjustment while the control panel remains horizontal in full view of the driver.
Seat: Contoured and padded. Vinyl.
Height adjustable and adjusts forward and backward
Seat swivel lever is located under right side of seat.allows the seat to swivel through 360 degrees, locking every 45 degrees. The second lever allows the seat to slide forwards and backwards. The seat can also be adjusted in height.
Backrest: Contoured and padded. Headrest. Reclining - angle can be adjusted with an alan key (angle indicators are marked on the side of the seat).
Armrests: Lift up. Height and width adjustable.
Front wheels: 290mm pneumatic tyres.
Rear wheels 280mm pneumatic tyres.
Battery charging is achieved by connecting the supplied cord to the scooter and then to the mains power point. This scooter has an in built charger.
Batteries are stored in separate boxes with carry straps under the seat.
Controls This scooter has finger operated controls and a foam covered looped steering handle. The display panel is flat with push button symbols for the front and rear lights, indicators, hazard light, horn, and a speed switch which lowers the current speed. The speed is controlled by a dial on the display panel. Battery condition is also displayed on the control panel.
Brakes are electromagnetic.
Freewheeling: Disengage the motor brake on right side rear cowling

The space allowed on public transport for carrying mobility equipment is an area of 1300mm by 800mm.
State transit will only carry scooters with an unladen weight of less than 200 kg and which can be driven onto the bus, and manoeuvred to fit wholly within the designated wheelchair space under their own power. Any such scooters carried must also comply where relevant with the rules applying to wheelchairs.
Three wheeled mobility aids of any kind are unstable in normal bus operations and will not be carried because of the safety risk.
Accessible buses display a blue and white wheelchair sign on the front of the bus, and on the easy access door.

Registration requirements for motorised Personal Mobility Vehicles:
Motorised personal mobility vehicles which weigh more than 110 kg when unladen and which are capable of travelling at more than 10 km/hr must be registered if they are to be used on a road or road related area (in accordance with Part 16 of Schedule 1 The Road Transport (VR) Regulations 1998).
Vehicles which weigh not more than 110 kg and travel at less than 10 km/hr and which are specially constructed to be used, and while upon a road or road related area are used solely for the conveyance of a person with a disability, are EXEMPT from registration.
