More Details
Materials
* The rails are manufactured of aluminum while all the other components are either made of corrosion resistant materials or are surface treated.
Application
* Materials are waterproof so it is therefore suitable for use in bathrooms and pool areas as well as any other area where a hoist is required. May be suitable for bariatric use up to the specified load capacity.
Tracking
* The Rail system can be mounted either on the ceiling or the wall and can be set-up as a single track or room covering system or combined system as needed.
Spreader Bar
* The hoist hangs directly under the rails and lifts the user with the help of a lifting hanger (spreader bar) to which the sling is attached. The standard spreader bar has two arms with two hooks at each end.
Controls
* It is lifted and lowered either by means of a hand held control. Traversing can be manually controlled or automatic by means of a transverse drive motor. The curved hand control is operated with one hand and equally suits right or left handed users.
* A switch system (similar to a railway track system) enables the hoist to change direction. A tracking system can be located throughout the building. Switch system is operated either manually by pulling a suspended cord or by an infra red switch on the hand control.
Power and charging
* Two 12v batteries 4 amp hr sealed. Approx 100 standard lifts can be carried out between each recharging. A standard lift is 85kg lifted 1000mm.
* After use the hoist is parked at the charging station at the end of the track for recharging the batteries.
Safety Features
* Emergency stop and emergency lowering.
* Emergency lowering can be operated by the carer as well as the user. Pulling the red "parachute" cord on the unit lowers the user. The lifting stops automatically when not performed vertically, when the lifting strap is twisted or in the case of overloading.
Slings
* Guldmann has a wide range of slings to suit various needs.
