A large four wheel battery powered scooter for outdoor use. It has finger and thumb operated controls and a weight capacity of 227kg. The large 350mm wheels have front and rear suspension and a high ground clearance. It features front and rear lights, hazard lights and indicators. The seat features a reclining backrest and a swivel and slide mechanism. A manual hand brake is provided. A range of options is available.

FRAME
This scooter has an epoxy coated steel frame, moulded plastic cowlings, front and rear bumper pads and slip resistant matting on the foot platform.
The tiller is adjustable.
Features rear lights, indicators and twin headlights.

SEAT
The seat features a quilted seat overlay, a reclining backrest and a swivel and slide mechanism. It has two release levers. The first is located underneath the right hand side of the seat base and allows the seat to swivel through 180 degrees, locking at 0, 45 and 90 degrees.
Seat height is adjustable by releasing the seat swivel lever and turning the seat to a non locked position and lifting it off. Then removing the pin and large grip screw located in the seat post. Seat height is changed and seat replaced. A sliding seat mechanism, activated by turning a lever under the front of the seat, allows the driver to alter seat position while seated. The armrests pivot up and down and can be width adjusted.

STEERING COLUMN
can be tilt adjusted and is controlled via plastic coated handles which loop from the front of the column to the sides.

BATTERY CHARGING
is achieved by connecting the scooter from the charger inlet at the top of the tiller to the charger then to a mains power point.

BATTERIES
The scooter is powered by 12 volt, 50 amp deep cycle, dry cell batteries which are housed under the seat in separate boxes with carry straps. The charger point is located on the tiller at the top left hand side. 70 amp batteries are optional.

FOOTREST
is a flat platform between the steering column and battery cover. Features slip resistant floor matting.

CONTROLS
Delta steering control. Controls include an on / off key and a speed lever that allows speed and direction control. The controls are set standard for right hand use, but can be changed by the supplier for left hand use. On the right hand side of the tiller, inside the point where the accelerator exits the control panel, is a small round knob which allows the speed of the scooter to be adjusted.
The controller features proportional speed control with an additional high / low speed control; horn and lights; indicators and hazard lights; and a battery level indictor. The controller is programmable allowing for the top speed to be limited and the hand controls to be reversed.
High speed setting is 15Kms/hour maximum.
Low speed setting is 9.5Kms/hour maximum.

BRAKES are electromagnetic.

FREEWHEELING The scooter can be free wheeled by pulling out a lever located at the rear right hand corner of the base.

SAFETY FEATURES include
Manual hand brake
Indicator and Hazard Beeper - a beeper sounds when the indicators or hazard lights are being used.
Anti bump - if the speed lever is not in neutral when the key is first switched on the scooter will not drive off.
Power Braking - the speed lever can be put in full reverse if the scooter needs to be brought to a stop more quickly.
Reversing Beeper - a beeper sounds when the scooter is being reversed.
Low Battery Warning - the scooter will beep every thirty seconds if the scooter is driven too long when the battery warning red light is on.
Lights will flash if the scooter has gone into sleep mode.

Licence & Insurance Requirements

Registration requirements
In NSW, motorised wheelchairs that weigh less than 110 kg and cannot travel at more than 10 km/h do not have to be registered, provided they are being used by a person with mobility problems. A person driving a motorised wheelchair under these circumstances is defined as a pedestrian under the Australian Road Rules and is permitted to travel on a footpath or nature strip adjacent to the road.

Vehicles exempt from registration are covered by the nominal defendant scheme (administered by the Motor Accidents Authority) if they are at fault in an accident in NSW on a road or road-related area and cause injury to another person. However, this cover is only valid in NSW.
