More Details

FRAME
Epoxy coated steel frame, moulded plastic cowlings, a metal protection rail at the front of the base and a fabric matting on the foot platform.

SEAT
Seat height is adjustable, swivels and slides back and forward.

CONTROLS
The controller features proportional speed control dial; push button horn and light; and a LED battery level indicator.

BATTERIES
The scooter is powered by two 50 amp batteries which are housed under the seat. The charger point is located at the top, right hand side of the tiller.

FREEWHEELING
The scooter can be free wheeled by lifting a lever located at the rear, left hand side of the base.

SEAT
has one release lever which is located underneath the front (right hand side) of the seat base and allows the seat to swivel through 180 degrees, locking at 0, 45 and 90 degrees. Seat height is adjustable by releasing the seat swivel lever and turning the seat to a non locked position and lifting it off. Then removing the pin and large grip screw located in the seat post. Seat height is changed and seat replaced. A sliding seat mechanism, activated by turning a lever under the front of the seat, allows the driver to alter seat position while seated. The armrests pivot up and down and are height and width adjustable. There are also two settings for the armrests, one at the rear of the seat and one midway to allow the armrests to be set at different positions if required.

STEERING COLUMN / TILLER
Can be tilt adjusted and is controlled via a plastic coated lever located at the base of the tiller.

BATTERY CHARGING
is achieved by connecting the scooter to a separate charger then to a mains power point.

BATTERIES
two 50 Amp batteries are stored in separate boxes with carry straps under the seat.

FOOTREST
is a flat platform between the steering column and battery cover. Features slip resistant matting.

CONTROLS
are a key for turning the scooter on and off and a speed dial.

BRAKES
are electromagnetic

SAFETY FEATURES include: Reversing Beeper - a beeper sounds when the scooter is being reversed.

Factors To Consider

This item should be trialled in the users home environment to ensure maximum safety / independence. Environmental considerations include kerbs, footpaths, road / railway crossings, etc
The space allowed on public transport for carrying mobility equipment is an area of 1300mm by 800mm.

State transit will only carry scooters with an unladen weight of less than 200 kg and which can be driven onto the bus, and manoeuvred to fit wholly within the designated wheelchair space under their own power. Any such scooters carried must also comply where relevant with the rules applying to wheelchairs.

Three wheeled mobility aids of any kind are unstable in normal bus operations and will not be carried because of the safety risk.
