Short Description

A fixed, heavy duty post and winch system hoist that rotates 360 in and out of the transfer area. It has battery operated lifting and lowering but the pivoting movement is manually operated. The lifter can be supplied with a sling. It is suitable for commercial or domestic use indoors and outdoors. It can also be used for transferring a person from a wharf into a boat. The hoist can lower to floor level.

Method Of Use

* The person is positioned in the sling. They are then pivoted (pushed) around in a horizontal plane until they are suspended above the wheelchair, commode, pool, spa or bath. Once in position, they are lowered down into the water or onto the seat
* The boom is manually pivoted around the mast. The lowering and raising action is powered

Structure
* The hoist consists of a mast and a lifting boom with a spreader bar at the end with two attachment points for the sling
* Choice of three different types of post bases to suit requirements
* The mast is constructed of stainless steel, with a polished stainless steel and light grey powder coated finish
* The base plate is bolted into concrete near the edge of the transfer area

Controls
* The hand held control unit is attached on a long cord from the hoist. This enables it to be used by an attendant or the user
* The control unit has a touch pad and is water resistant

Power and Charging
* The in built, 24 volt long life batteries are housed in a fibreglass cover at the top of the mast
* The battery recharger is solar powered
